Anybody have any recommendations for a charter out of North Myrtle Beach? We'd be doing a 10-12 hour trip in order to get out to decent fishing. I've done the 4 hour trips out of there in the past...total waste of time.

Lemme know!

Do NOT use voyager fishing charters. My family has a place in Cherry Grove and we went out with them a several years ago. When we called in the guy on the phone said fishing was on fire and they were killing it on every trip they have had for the last several weeks. They said they specialized in offshore trolling... We went out and caught small mackerel and went offshore. They put out the most half janky spread I have ever seen only 4 lines with dead mackerel and a spoon that looked like it had been ran over by a truck. The deckhand nor the captain cared at all about anything. They did not talk to anyone just did their thing and sat up in the fly bridge and smoked cigarettes. We caught 2 barracudas that is it the deck hand sliced his hand open on the barracudas tooth and they didnt even have a first aid kit onboard! The mate told me fishing had been slow for everyone but kept bragging about a 500 lb tiger shark they caught two weeks prior. When we gave them a tip at the end of the trip the captain just put it in his pocket and walked away didnt say a word. If you want to catch fish and not spend $2000 take your own boat and fish the little river jetties. Go back in the creeks and catch shrimp or just outside near the beaches you can catch +100 menhaden with one throw of the cast net. On a falling tide anchor off the jetties and put out a spread of free lines and Carolina rigs on the bottom with live bait. You will catch redfish, sea trout, sheepshead, bonnet head sharks etc.
