Been out the past few days on trips. The wind has been blowing strong out of the north east which is normal for this time of the year. It really gets the spots going and positions the fish for us.
We have been doing pretty good on buzzbaits and Pop-R's early around steep banks in the creeks then working Mini Me's on off shore points on the main lake. I have also been doing pretty well with a big super spook on big points where bait is present on the lowrance. There are some big schools of herring on the south end of the lake right now that is showing up on big points. IF you see this bait, pull off and work the big super spook over them. You wiil eventually pull up some big spots. I have also caught a few decent fish on big chrome red fins thrown over the brush piles in 20-25 feet of water.
AS this weather continues to cool, look for the spinnerbait bite to get better and better.
Good luck out there
Ryan
