Fished Lanier Friday afternoon/night caught a few spots on downline. Saturday two stripers 8.5# and 11.25# downlined 25' over 50' bottom near humps around sail boat course in the early am. No trolling bite what so ever. Sunday am a friend said he found a large school across from shoal creek ramp but by the time we got back to them they were gone. Tough weekend fishing. I could find the bait fish but no stripers around in any great numbers. Lake seems to be getting ready to turn over with the large numbers of shad I saw floating around.
