Fished (southlake) with Chuck, Steve, Greg, and Big Daddy this morning. We had a good crew today - a lot of chemistry. Marked fish 65ft to 90ft. Used six dozen herring to boat and release eleven average-sized fish. We found fish about half way back in the creeks and in some lake pockets/coves. Boated a fish that had ten inches of mono hanging out of its butt - the hook was about ready to pass. //

Tom, How nice to see you and big Daddy, and crew on the lake today. We had a great day on the water, and seeing you guys on the lake made it a grand day!!! We did not put up the numbers you guys did today, but caught some nice ones and that is all it takes. laugh smile grin

Got a little bit of a late start this morning, on the water a little after 7:30. Trying to do some pre-fishing for the NGSC tx tomorrow. A pretty slow bite early. I did not drop the first bait until about 9:15, and had one break off in the trees within about 15 minutes. Looked in a few more spots, but did not get into numbers until around noon. Ended up with 7 for the day with 3-4 more break offs. The biggest was about 16-18# (guess based upon 34" length). Long leaders were the key, 10'+, only the first bite was on a 6' leader. Not many fishing boats on the water, but still lots of boaters.

No fish pics, just the dog navigating

And one for the dough ball crowd:
