Chuck, Casey, Scott, and Big Daddy put a hurt'in on the stripers Saturday morning fishing half way back in coves/pockets of southlake creeks - 55 to 70 feet. Good and quick rod work resulted in ten or so boated stripers with the biggest at 14 pounds. We had some sun and wind and right now that seems as if these are two important ingredients to getting a bite or two. tom

Tom is definitely on fire. When you go out with a pro and I don't say that lightly, you want or should I say hope for a couple of things, 1. A good time, you know,
feel like you are fishing with "one of us", 2. Oganized and exprienced, with safe and top notch eqiupment, 3. learn some stuff and be able to ask dumb questions (not me of cource) to better yourself on the next trip. 4..... catch some and maybe a good one. Well, I have been on more than a few, both fishing and hunting and when that happens, you know you have just put the iceing on the cake. I am proud to include my buddy Tom in that group along with Clay, Don, Mack, Doug, Larry that's my guys and I know of a few more that ya'll can pass on just haven't been out with them. Clay, and all of you striper-heads, Thanks for all the support we get from this cool forum. How fun.
See ya'll at Good Ol' Days Friday night at 8. See Odds and Ends for music up date. Big Daddy

Shep, thanks for your positive comments. I also like that picture - the 14 pounder was on the other end and Big Daddy put just enough pressure on him to wear him out. I know one or two things about photography - my digital is set to flash on every shot. This setting is helpful when the subject of your photo (Big Daddy) is between you and the sun.

Hey, your day was not shabby! Boated a lot and the fish you caught were larger. Your biggest fish was better. My hat is of to ya!!!!!!!

If you have not already done so, sign up for the Sept tourney and let's rub elbows over barbeque and fried chicken Friday night. Your two biggest fish would have been hard to beat. What are going to do with the $900 when you finish first?

Best of luck to you,

tom

Someday I'm gonna give it a try, I think alot could be learned from it,and look forward to meeting some other striper fishermen from this board. I have to give this place and the people here credit for the majority of my success. But it looks like I'll be stuck working weekends for a while longer, so maybe I'll catch some of you on the lake through the week.

Was locked, loaded and ready for the tournament, but had to back down - that's the home opener for the Dawgs...they play South Carolina on the 12th. I hate it, the tx sounds like it's going to be a ball. Oh well, I had to give Mike Green, Mike Maddalena, Randy Dover, Bill Carson, or some of the many others an opportunity to win anyways!!! laugh laugh laugh (Just kidding fellas, just kidding) Ya'll have fun with that thang, I am very interested in who will wind up in first.
