First thanks as always to Capt. Larry and Corry for all the info on Oxygen. Hey Larry, it was good meeting you the other day. We did catch a couple that day, and missed a bunch.
You mentioned being able to keep the bait over night and hitting them with the O the next morning. I am all with that, I live on the lake and sometimes fish in the PM then go again early. Sometimes being the pivotal word.
By the way we had 2 doz big BB's from Hammonds all were lively as heck till noon when we put on the last and smallest that would not give up. Finally had one last pull down ,miised it but he did his job.
Here is what i do. 2 Doz BB's in an air bag. 30 minutes min. till I get them in the 30 gal tank. 1 plastic grocery bag of well ice,put in and let melt than put the whole air bag with bait still in for a couple of minute, this also lets me know if I have too much water. Then put all water and bait from the air bag into tank. Water temp at about 70 to 75 on cheap suction cup thermometer. Carried 4-16 oz bottles froizen, did not use.
Bilge pump water out of lake at 7 AM water temp 86 or so ? I put together a bilge on a seperate plur with that good clear plastic hose, about 8' of it.
88.2 at noon. +/- 3 handfulls of ice-cream salt, turn on bubble so they make as small as possible.
At noon the themp in my tank was about 80. Would have added the frozen bottles if had more bait.
That's it sorry for the ramble. I know that only having the 2 doz. had a lot to do with it but after 2 doz, if Big Daddy ain't caught a couple or have I'm ready to head in.
This may be common knowledge but just thought I'd pass it on.
