We were up on the north end today all day .Water temp was 47 this mornin and went up to 50 by 2pm.We put out 6 down rods & 2 planers and a balloon .Ended up catchin 12 school fish 8 to 10 lb.
The bite came on the planers using jumbo shiners from the dam store on peachtree. These shiners are 3 to 4" long .Nada on the down rods.At one point we had a triple catch ,both boars and the baloon at one time with 2 guys on the boat.
The fish were in the mouth of the creek we coming into.Nothing on the tv screen and yet all them fish.
In all 12 stripes in 2 hrs wasnt a bad day .then the bite stopped, they moved on .Fish were caught between 10am & 12 pm noon.
I to also steped on my new rod through all the excitment and broke the 3rd eye.
Too the water is a bit stained from last week .
We had the whole creek to ourselves for a change .
This was the first fish of the day .they all were about the same size .
