My brother is selling his boat. It's located in Temple, GA, and is also listed here:
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/boa/1046542661.html

Post any questions you might have, and I'll get the answers.

Here's some details:
20' long, 8' wide, very deep and stable. Features from bow to stern: 24v 70# thrust trolling motor with good batteries, large storage compartment under cedar hatch, aerated baitwell forward of helm, bimini top, Eagle fishmark 480, marine radio, leaning post with large aerated livewell and tackle drawers, two engine batteries on switch, 150hp Johnson VRO with stingray and blackfin skeg, lots of rod holders. Decking is composite lumber (will never rot), hull is welded aluminum. I bought this boat about a year ago and put a ton of work into it - cleaning it up, fixing it up, replacing rotten carpet, etc. Vinyl is stained but good. This is a very solid boat, ready to haul in the big fish! Tandem-axle Boat Master trailer is aluminum with good tires (one of 'em is brand new), working lights. Asking $5,000. Make me an offer! Mike, (678) 215-1304.

Here's some pics:

Minn Kota, 24-volt, 70# thrust. If you want more specifics, just let me know, or call my brother, Mike, (678) 215-1304. That's his mobile and only phone, so he should answer. He knows way more about it all than I do. Just leave him a message if you want, and he is sure to call you back soon. He has "new boat fever" badly... and there's only one cure: buy a new boat.

New low price: $2,500. My brother gets his new boat tomorrow, so he has halved the price on this one.

Not exactly, but there is an interested party. It may not be for sale, unless that party backs out. I believe he declined an offer of earnest money, thinking there was no need for that. Feel free to call him, his number hasn't changed. He will be out of town on the 29th of June and will not be back home until the 20th of July. He has moved some items to his new boat (FF, hydrofoil, radio, rod holders), so the price could be less now.

It sure seems that way. I just got off the phone with Mike (I was nervous after seeing people asking about it). We are going to get together when he gets back into town, so I can check out the boat. If everything is all good, I'll give him the money within a couple of days and we will be home free!!!

I am SOOOOO excited to finally be getting a boat.

He did take the fish finder off, so that's another $500.00 I will have to spend, but all in all it seems like a GREAT deal.

I tell ya what, I have a set of nice Drift Master rod holders I'll give you for your new boat. You will just have to buy the mounting bases. I think they're $5.oo each at Oakwood bait. Any way it'll save you a bout $38.oo By the way they are left hand thread 1/2 in. the heavy duty ones.

Well Boys, I am sad to say that this is going to be a no go for me. My lady's car had some major issues at 3K over warranty, my AC unit took a crap the day before the 4th, and I'm being forced to take a pay cut due to economic times... Pretty heartbreaking...

Keep your head up. It was not meant to be. Having a boat is great, but all the old cliches are true as far as boat ownership goes. When the time is right, you'll find what you need. Set yourself a budget, save your money, and keep you eyes open. I looked for at least 6 months before i bought mine. And remember, the day after you buy a boat, you'll find 2 or 3 more that are bigger, better, cheaper, newer, etc than what you just got (i think it is the law).
