Been floating the hooch every weekend now since Christmas, and it seems that the warmer/nicer it gets, the slower the bite is. I have seen more traffic on the water, but it doesn't seem like enough to make a difference. Any ideas? are Trout in this climate more active in the colder temps? Don't get me wrong, we are still catching 20 or so between the two or three of us, but it just seems to be getting slower and slower....

They only stocked 20 fish-- they're getting smarter and smarter!

My guess is the water temp is still dropping; the surface temp at Lanier is only 45-47, so the water coming out of the dam is probably much cooler? Is there a big midge hatch or anything that may be swinging their attention to other things?

20 fish on a float is still pretty impressive! could be the air temp swings and pressure changes messing them up as well. Any connection with the solunar tables?

Try a black rooster tail with a slow retrieve and fluttering stalls-- my favorite all time lure on the river
