Beautiful day on the hooch. Floated (in my awesome pontoon) with my buddy who was nice enough to buy one too so I could have some company, and we caught 23 trout. It looked like they may have stocked recently because every brown we caught was between 6-8inches. The rainbows were nice though, a couple of them were 14 inches or so. We fished from Abbotts to Medlock. Most of the fish were caught on a little cleo.

crash,

that section is pretty smooth-- yes? I can't recall if that would be a good canoe float with an 11 yr old or not. any shoals to navigate?

thanks!

Piece of cake! Pretty slow actually. There are only two fast spots, and they aren't bad at all.

Those Browns were wild.. The DNR stopped stocking Browns in the Hooch a couple years ago to gage their reproduction..

Well they were small, but plentiful.

Crash-- thanks for the reply about the float on that section. Been hit and miss with looking at the forum lately. Might see you on the river-- tight lines!
