Decided to go crappie fishing instead of hunting for that big ol stiper the other day and came home with Nothing... made the drive all the way to clarks bridge for that cold morning and couldn't graph a single fish.. water temp was 37 degree.. anyone know where some of these crappie might be hiding during this cold time of the year..?

People only call me Walrath when they mean business, like my boss.. I will NEVER call a crappie a croppy so long as I live.....

look guy's I fished the hell out of 4 mile Tuesay for crappie and didn't get a one. Now I'm no pro but I have done pretty good on them in the past at a different time of year. A friend of mine said that he has done well around Bald Ridge the past week. We are south end guys though....

I know of some really good crappie fisherman that swear by using long 9ft+ poles and sticking them underwater under the docks to get back to 'em using jigs or live bait. They use 11 and 12ft cane like poles and wear them out. Sounds kinda boring to me though. I'm used to 4# test, bobbers, and minnows on ultralight 5 footers.
