Decided to go crappie fishing instead of hunting for that big ol stiper the other day and came home with Nothing... made the drive all the way to clarks bridge for that cold morning and couldn't graph a single fish.. water temp was 37 degree..
anyone know where some of these crappie might be hiding during this cold time of the year..?

Look 1/2 of the way back in 4 mile. Graphed a bunch there on Monday.

Agree with Brett, 4 mile is hard to beat on the south end. Concentrate on the deeper docks for now unless you have the equipment for spider rigs. I will try to give a more detailed answer soon.

Year after year, the highest concentration of crappie per acre of water is wahoo, little river, clarks bridge, yellow creek, and thompson creek. I would say 4 mile has been better than normal the last few years for some unknown reason maybe the lake level.

You must've only caught them in the spring Walrath. Please tell me you don't pronounce crappie, croppie......there's nothing more frustrating to a southern fisherman than that.

I'm a new freshwater fisherman, don't think I've ever seen a crappie
