I know of some really good crappie fisherman that swear by using long 9ft+ poles and sticking them underwater under the docks to get back to 'em using jigs or live bait. They use 11 and 12ft cane like poles and wear them out. Sounds kinda boring to me though. I'm used to 4# test, bobbers, and minnows on ultralight 5 footers.

Got a guy that wants to go crappy fishing monday. Are they biting yet? Any suggestions on where to go? Is Wahoo still a good choice?
