Fished all over the south end this morning-- got a late start and was on the water by 9:30. All the birds were just floating around like it was their day off--- and I think the fish also were on break; found very few fish and they were scattered. No one at Shoal Creek ramp when i pulled out reported any success at all.
Finally went north to chestatee and the same lack of anything moving up there. Nice day, but I wasn't there for a tan!
They should be starving by tomorrow, because they sure were fasting today. Maybe shouldv'e busted out the u-rigs...
Anyone else try today, and any luck?

I fished Balus and Flat again with trouts and shiners this time. got a couple of hits on the shiners but did not get any hooked. The trouts were not touched. Ended with nothing.

I could not get on the fish either on Tuesday. Marked alot of stripers right off Charleston right after I launched at 6:50 am. Did not have time to fish since I first had to pick my boss and son up at his dock further up 6 mile. Came back with them on board 20 minutes later and did not mark anything.

I heard they were back about 9:00 am. a few nice stripers were picked up with smaller bait at that spot. I fished from Gaineville Creek to Shoal creek and hardly marked a fish all day. Dropped my guests off at 1:00 PM and then searched some more. Ended up pulling u-rigs from Balus to Six Mile and still nothing.

I was going to fish today but the report is for high winds so I will stay off the pond.

Sounds like the fish are going on a post-holiday diet; I'm hoping to get back out again this week and will post if anything looks better.
