The down line bite is here. You can still catch a few on free lines but the best fishing is on the down line. The water temp has went through the roof. The water is now in the low 80s. The bulk of the fish are 25 to 30 ft deep. Some of the fish are on the points but some fish are are out over the timber as well. The huge schools have not shown up yet but the fishing is very good. The is my favorite time of the year. On the down line use a 1 1/2 oz swivel sinker and a five to six ft 15lb fluorocarbon leader. Have not gotten many pics the last few days. Did get one pic the day before yesterday and the second pic is from one of the Lanier's trip.
