Fishing changed on the lake today. Fish were on top but feeding on threadfins. Be sure to down size your baits. The larger baits are going to fall by the wayside. Caught more fish on the downline today later in the morning but the schooling fish were everywhere. Caught a 6.5 pound largemouth today. Customer was on the phone so I had to do the unbearable and catch the fish. Bigmouth came straight to the top form 40 ft and tail walked several times. Made me want to head to Fl or Texas.

Thanks for these recent reports. Nice largemouth! I'd love to see it if you have a pic. I'm gonna try my luck Sunday... think I'll turn the phone off.

Does anyone use braided line when throwing top water plugs? If so are you using a leader? Fluorocarbon?

Did get a pic of the LM. Just got the laptop back. Smaller baits like 1/4 bucktails are the ticket now. Caught mostly big spots on the smaller sebile magic swimmer today. Caught fish on trout and herring about equally well today. Almost all on the free line.

Are you trolling the bucktails or casting with hem?
