Free lines continue to be the ticket on Lanier. Herring have been the best bait the last few days. The fishing has been best on the south end in the major creeks like Flat Creek. Starting to see more and more fish out on the points in the mouths of the creeks as well, especially later in the day. A few fish will begin to be caught on redfins the next fews weeks. Be sure to keep one ready to v-wake across the surface.

Not as big as he looks. He was a little under 20.

It is a topwater bait by cotton cordell that you reel very slowly across the surface. keep your rod tip higher than most baits and the 7 inch size is the preferred size most of the time on Lanier. Look on my website under photos 2005 and look for the guy in a UGA hat and a yellow sweatshirt and you will see a redfin hanging from the spots mouth and a few striper picks just under there with refins in thier mouth as well.
