Not much has changed with the stripers. Free lining continue to be the best choice for the tripers. Put the free lines at least a 100 ft behind the boat. Most days you will not get many bites by the stripers but they will be good fish for the most part. The larger baits continue to be the better choice. The number of spotted bass up shallow has increased tremendously. Look for a huge wave of bass spawning on the full moon coming up. The water temp. is pushing 65 degrees which is the temp for the stripers to spawn as well. A lot of things will be going on the next two weeks. See you on the lake.

Nottely will have a HECK of a lot less pressure on it. Last time I was up in Blairsville by the Ball Park in April, I was the only boat around. People on the walking trail around the park, looked at me like I was NUTS fishing there in my 23ft skiff. We caught fish till we were tired of catching them. Start pulling where it starts to narrow, right before the 90 degree right hand turn where you can see the 575/5 bridge. The Hooch and "tee" will be SLAMED this weekend. I'm in the North GA striper club and I would bet there will 8-10 boats from the club up the hooch on Sat and Sun. The fish I have been catching up the hooch look spawned out already?!?!?

From the old damn/Dredge area up past the house boat and the next 2 bends after the house boat can be good this time of year. The "tee" is a little colder then the hooch, so it normal runs a little behind.
