Fishing continues to be great on the lake. Things have changed a little. I am not catching the ridiculous numbers I was catching a few weeks ago but the numbers are still great. The good side is that I am seeing more 14lb plus fish. Still catching the bulk of my fish midlake from Little Hall down to Vanns Tavern 30 to 40 ft deep over deep water in the creeks. Finding a few over the main channel but the open water has not been as predictable. I will try to post some recent pics later today. I have not seen many people trolling. I am sure you can catch some trolling but I have not had any reason to do so. I would start at six colors with the lead core with a 1oz. bucktail tipped with a 6inch chart. trailer. Start in the last deep water in the creeks and work your way out.

We've been catching a few on the leadcore over the last 2 weeks. Seems like the creek mouths to halfway back will produce. Look for suspended fish over a 50-70 ft bottom. We've had our best luck tipping bucktails with BB's at 6-7 colors. Last year there was a strong bite pulling big swim baits behind the leadcore, but I've tried the swim baits a few times this summer with no luck yet.

Those same swim baits from last year are working for me Jim, 6in Char. I ordered some of the 6 pearl ice/blue back from the internet and they look sweet.

Thanks Mike
I've got 4 bags of pearl colored weighted swim baits just waiting. Jerry and I are headed down to West Point for 3 days next week. I'll have to try those swim baits again when I get back.
