Your all invited to fish the annual North GA Striper Club Fathers Day Weekend Open Striper Tournament.

Tournament hours are from Friday 6/13/2008 8:00pm till Saturday 6/14/2008 12:00pm (Noon). You can fish all night or leave the lake for a break, your choice.

Registration is from 6:00pm till 8:00pm @ Vann's Tavren Ramp on Friday 6/13/08. Entry Fee is $100 (cash only) per boat (%80 payback), with an optional $20 big fish pot (%100 payback).

Weight IN is at Vann's Tavern ramp - starting at 12:00pm on 6/14. You must be checked in by NOON!!!

Due to low lake levels, limited ramp availability and a new corps restriction banning ALL tournaments during the weekend and evenings, this is most likely the last striper tournament on Lanier in 08. (Pray for some tropical storms!!)

If there's interest we could have another tournament on Nottely, Carters or Toona.

For additional information please call the tournament director - Mike Maddalena - 770-598-5195. If you want to register before 6/13 call me and we'll get together some how.

I'd really like to fish it, but I'm leaving that morning for Florida. Believe it or not, I asked my wife if she'd mind if I participated, but she almost slapped me before I got to the "we'll just leave a little bit late...honey" part. My leash is turning into a "choke chain". \:\(

It was won by Johnny Bell and company - they had a 27 and a 12 or something like that. 2nd place was Jeff Gerrin and friends - they had a 19 and 11 or so.
