Does anybody use the Nauticus smart tabs? Just wondering if they work or a waste of money.

David, i have not used trim tabs on a center console but on a Baja speed boat i had, it had trim tabs on it and they were awesome. They worked great to keep the boat level at all speeds and to get on plane quicker when taking off, really made the ride lots smoother. I would guess they would work the same on your boat and have many other uses also. Go get them lol

Yea but these are not the good ones with switches that you adjust. They just bolt on and have a shock and adjust there self according to the pressure against them. There only 140 bucks a set instead of 800 for the real tabs.

I have not used the type you are talking about, but even bolt on tabs give you much more surface area in the back were you need it. In the event you are having trouble getting up on a plane, or if you are having trouble staying up and or porposing, they can be a huge advantage. On the other hand if your boat is riding well, then you probably don't need them.

Where they are a big help is in very skinny water, being they not only help you stay up well. They will also pop up much faster and not dig as much causing you to hit bottom or not get up at all.

Most of us carry too much weight with baits tanks and such but like Dan said if you are not having trouble getting on plane I believe I would buy another rod and reel.

Tell my wife I need another rod and reel lol. When I trim out it starts porposing and I think I might get more top speed if I could trim it out more. This is only my second boat and my first one didnt porpose so I feel like something needs to be done.
