I fished midlake today from first light until 3:30pm I got 2 quality fish in the boat, One was 34 in and the second was 39,probably pushing 24 lbs. Both on large medium trout 9-10 inches on flat lines I got the bigger one with my new big fish setup. Its a Penn fathom fth15 on a rod I made with a lamiglass composite blank. If you are looking to upgrade reels check out the fathom. Ive never had better.

I fill out the surveys. 30lb plus stripers on lanier is what I want. That Rod and reel would be god for wreck fishing grouper no doubt.That reel is actually smaller in physical size than the penn 320 and it really handles large fish well.
