Had a day off today so took advantage of it and went to Lake Nottely again. Only saw three other boats and 1 pontoon. The fish up on Notely were on the same pattern as Lanier and about the same size as the typical catch on Lanier. We picked up a good number of fish 28 ft deep over a 40 ft bottom on the end of a point using herring on a downline. Also, picked a few trolling 3 oz. umbrellas with 8 1/2 jigs and white trailers 100 ft behind the boat. I did not fish on Lanier yesterday, but I did talk to Capt. Larry Walsingham and found out he had a really good day using the same technique described above. The fishing has been better on the north end of the lake from Browns Bridge north. There is fish down south as usual but they are harder to find. I also heard from a couple of different people that the trolling bite had picked back up. The pics below are from Nottely this morning.
