Thought some of you might be interested, plus I'm a bit bored at home this morning...

I noticed that the Elite-5x DSI dropped in price by $150. Now it's $400 instead of $550. I'm wondering if I can fit one more 5" screen. Since it's a 455/800 kHz ducer, it wouldn't interfere with the 200 kHz I'm running now.

I went to BPS to look at one today given the price drop.

I would like the opinion of someone who has seen one in action. The Elite 5 DSI had a much more impressive simulation going than the Elite 5x DSI.

I wonder if the difference is based on capabilties or a marketing scheme. I toyed with the options on the 5x DSI to try to get it running a different simulation and couldn't find anything.

I just noticed that Lowrance does have emulators for the Elite-5 and Elite-5x:

Oops... just noticed those are not for the DSI models.
