On behalf of the LSC, We appreciate the thanks so much guys! We have been commited to giving back to the lake from the sponsors money received from the Funfest.

If you remember back in the late summer Dan Saknini speerheaded a group of volunteers to reface and repair the bumpers on about 10 docks trough out the lake. Now moving the dock at Balus, we were hoping to do 3 docks origianally, East Bank, Balus and one north. But do to the heavy expense to move these docks that are so dry docked, We had to pick one. It only made since to pick Balus being Mid Lake with ample parking, as well as it had already been extended in the last drought.

Mind you that the cost incurred on this move, also includes the moving of the dock as needed to keep it floating, be it out or in. Anyway we were very surprised to find our sign from The Lanier Striper Club, that was hanging on the dock had been cut off and laying on the ground. So we brought it back with us from Satuday's Tx and will be re installing it this weekend.

You guys are very welcome, and thanks for the recognition, and supporting the Funfest, it is an attempt to give back to all of us fishermen who use the lake in these drawn down times. grin

Also would like too add a special Thanks to Mr. Joe Kuhr who not only saw this project thru, but also donated his work and time installing the mulch and stepping stones.
