Does anyone know if the Knock-off Boga grips are trust worthy in accuracy of the weight of the fish?

Some of them may be, but the issue is that they are not consistent across the model. I have a Rapala Lock n Weigh that is not accurate at all, and it was not inexpensive, about $65 as I recall. The Bogas out of the box are very consistent and can even be IGFA certified.

I was looking at the EconoScale that looks identical to the boga. read some reviews and got both negative and positive reviews and didn't know what to think. Don't catch many fish, I am a rookie, so didn't know if I was ready for the real deal boga yet. Thanks!

Yeah, but was looking for something that I can just grab with a lip grip and scale at the same time, but I want it accurate.

Better get a Boga then! haven't seen a knock off yet that is accurate, nor do the hang on to the fish nearly as well/ I tried 4 different ones and they would constatly drop off the lip. When you reach down and put the Boga on them its done. Just sayin!

LOL Not at all, use what ever you want, it sure doesn't affect me does it. I have just been there and done that! all the rest I have tried are structure at the bottom of the lake. You may be able to find them with down scan.
