Good News. The courtesy dock at Balus Creek has been moved. It is positioned right next the deepest ramp (leftside of the ramp, looking down the ramp). Cudos and many thanks to the great guys at the Lanier Striper Club. No more beaching the boat. Yeah!

Man thats great. Big thanks to all who was involved. Why dont the corps move the ones that are gonna be open? Nobody to do it I guess???

We have looked at a number of ramps to move the docks, but after researching, it is very costly especially since they are beached so far. So it was decided at the cost of just a little over 3K that we would have the dock moved at Balus. It only made since to move Balus being Mid Lake access with the best parking available.

This hopefully will prove to be advantagous for the STRIPER FISHERMEN this season with the lowering lake levels.
