The last couple of days the fishing has not been easy but I wouldn't say is it is bad either. The good thing has been the size of the fish. Being that we are pulling bigger baits most of the fish are good size. The 19lber in the first pic hit five feet behind the boat before I could tie on the balloon. Luckily, he had a hold of the rod or it would have been donated to the lake. Starting to catch some fish on the north end of the lake as well. Free lines with balloons and planer boards continue to be the only way to go. Catching the better fish on the larger baits like gizaard shad and trout. I have been catching mostly big spots on the herring.
