Made it to the river (West Palisades) after work today in time to find that the trout bite is in full swing for this time of year. Me and and a friend caught around 25 from 3:30 to 5:30 using small single hook rooster tails and ultralight gear. Mostly all stockers but there were a few nice size fish mixed in. They are feeding very aggresively, constantly killing the top, and I saw quite a few fish come completly up out of the water. I probably missed just as many as I caught. Fish were chasing the rooster tails right up to my toes on the bank.
