Spent last week in Marco Island, fishing the backwaters of the Marco River. Had high temps in the low 80's and high 70's. Found some nice (up to 8#) red fish in one area, but needed high water to get to them. When the tide was low we had a stretch of mangroves that the snook were schooling on. Not real big, but lots of them. In addition to the snapper, grouper, jacks, ladyfish, and catfish, we probably caught 200 fish in 4 days fishing. Lots of fun while the pipes were freezing here at home.
