I have a 1974 Johnson 5hp outboard in great condition for sale. I purchased it through e-bay in 2004, and it's never been put in the water. Just crank it up at the house every so often for preventive maintenance. The motor received a thorough going over, and tune-up prior to me receiving it. It starts in just a couple pulls of the string, and runs like a sewing machine.

I'm selling it because it's too heavy for a side-mount on a canoe. I'm fearful that there would be just too much list/lean for it to be safe. It's going to be better suited for a square back canoe, small sail boat, or jon.

The cover is painted camo, as I was going to use it for swamp duck hunting in S. GA.

$300, or best reasonable offer. I paid that plus crating and shipping 2 years back. It's located in Cumming.
