6/16/06 - NGSC Father's Day Tournament Results

25 Teams competed in the North Georgia Striper Club's 4th Annual Father's Day Open Striped Bass Tournament. Anglers hit the water at 8:00pm on Friday 06/16/06 and fished throughout the night. The weary anglers showed up for the 12:00pm weigh in on 6/16/06. Many teams reported catching a lot of fish, from the damn on up to Gainesville Creek and the Wahoo/Little River area. Most came on downrods at 22 to 30 ft, using herring. The problem was getting a big fish to bite. The NGSC would like to thank Hammonds Fishing and Boat Storage for their support in the form of 3 gift certificates for the top three places. Here are the results.

1st Place & Big Fish 27.75lbs Striper's Unlimited Shane Foster $1,785

2nd Place 27.45lbs Last Chance Scott "Beetle" Bailey $440

3rd Place 25.35lbs Scott Pass Scott Pass $100

4th Place 23.05lbs Reality Bites "Admiral" Woody Barnes $30

5th Place 22.00lbs Skin Deep Bryan Jenkins $20

Congratulations to the winners! Our next open tournament is another night event, 8/15/06 thru 8/16/06, to run concurrently with the NSBA's tournament that weekend
