Spring has sprung and so has the fishin'. Water temps popped up into the high 50's over the past few days and the fishing is great. We are averaging between 8-15 bites a day. This is mixed between stripers, and bass. Mostly stripers the past 3 days. Fish are of mixed sizes. A 32.12 lb fish was caught AND RELEASED by Buddy Langston on Tuesday morning fishing the dock lights. Many fish in the 14-20 lb range were caught this week. There is also a good showing of small fish in the 2-6 lb class being caught. Just pull up to a point and throw shallow. It is like flipping a coin. Not sure which is going to hit it......a biggin or a small fry. Fishing is good all over the lake. Most important thing to know is that from 6PM until 10AM the fishing is best!Another words LOW LIGHT or NO LIGHT. Fished this morning and had 10 bites in 2 hours. 6 fish hooked, 5 landed up to 14lbs on fly. 3 of the fish were over 10 lbs. Spinning rods accounted for 8 fish in another boat on 3/8 oz jigs tipped w/flukes. These fish went to 20 lbs plus! The bottom line is that over the next 8 weeks this is striper time. Get out the whippy stick and come up to the lake! See you on the pond.
