I would love to meet up with all the guys sometime. I like the idea of a Tourney too. I think you get everyone to throw in a small, 20 bux a boat, amount just to make it interesting. I also like the flag idea.
Whats the difference between a tour and a tourney?

Maybe use just an area around a boat ramp that has a beach/slash chill area for free? Bring some grills and some tables and have a good time.

Is the old Tiki Hut still closed, where we blast off for the Funfest? They have a lot of docking space there.

Van Pugh North has a nice pavillion and grill. There is not any docking space, but to the side of the ramps there is a large sandy area to beach the boats.

We are gonna have to agree on disagreeing here, so that means we should just go with my idea: Food = Tim Farmers smoker and boston butts for the best bbq you'll ever eat. Just have to find somebody to watch the meat while Tim fishes? There ya have it, I just booked the food part. Place = Laurel Park, do not argue this location, as you know both directions are great fishing, period. There are inexpensive covered picnic areas that will work out great. Date = Preferably April, but early May would be my second choice. To me, there is too much lake activity by June. Tournament = Yes, structured up like the Oakwood tx would be easiest to manage. Catch and release, fish go by length, there will be a number given out in the morning, twenty bucks with a ten dollar optional big fish pot, cheaters will be drowned near the ramp. Bragging Rights = Should depends on who wins. If I win, yes, I think a flag would be great. If some non deserving flunkie wins, then no, no flag - maybe just wait till next year to give it out or whatever. Just kidding, the flag sounds like a good idea. I'll sponser a portion of the get together to help out financially. Hopefully, there will be another taker or two.

Clay, Sunset cove would be great, plenty of room to eat, but I was there last Saturday and there were no slips available. It was so crowded you couldn't even find a place to beach the boat. The beached boats were lined up from one end to the other. If we have it there we would need to get there by 11:00 a.m. if you wanted to have a place to dock. Of course this will depend heavily on the weather. I do agree with you about the food at Port Royale.

Little Hall, 2 minutes from my house, and make it 40 bucks per boat so we can hire that great band that's playing at Good Ol' Days in Cumming Friday April 1st at 8 Pm, we could all go check them out...yeh that's the ticket!.....Now what the name of that band?

Not sure i could afford the entry fee for stripper fishing, although catching, tagging, and releasing sounds pretty fun....
can I also suggest adding Styx and REO Speedwagon to the soundtrack? Us Catholics need to balance our sins with equal punishment.

[/quote] REO Speedwagon and Styx? Who dat?
Never mind what Brett says. I think he's a big time Abba fan but I'm fairly sure the sound track to "Mama Mia" was NOT on the box in Dan's boat when they caught Big Mama the other day. I'm also 99999.9% sure the band thing is out. Heck, if you can't fillet it, drink or smoke (easy, I mean cigars) it, or it doesn't strip line, forget about it! And I'm with you!! Clay knows I never miss a chance to self promote, but this is not a band thing. We were going to do this last summer? If so i missed it. Great idea, for us to meet tell some more lies, and do what we do best, FISH and EAT. I have a steel smoker too will cook 10 or 15 butts. And since I will most likely be donating my premium as well, (catching challenged), will be glad to rub butts and help do some cooking. Just let me know.

I can get some chicken quarters. Just let me know how many pieces will be needed. If you prefer halves or 8 pc cut, I can get that also.

I think an afternoon cook out would be perfect. Maybe a tourney before, either way I would like to put a face to everyone here.

Chickens and the L C Boil Yeahya!. Chickens cook in about 45 min. to an hour or about 2 beers. My smoker will go on my trailer whoever wants to cook could get together and do that while the rest fish. Since I am due a big win (only been in 2 tx's), I'll forgo the glory and do something I am good at, cook if you want. If we do butt's I would do those the night before. If we meet at Little Hall we could cook at my house that morning or night before. Just PM me and let me know when the plan is a plan.
