anybody had any luck with the white bass? are they a fish that you can target or do you just come up on them when your out for something else.what areas should i target to try and find them. i,m pretty new to the fresh water game and could use all the help i can get

At the current time the white bass population is lower than it has ever been on the lake due mostly to the drought several years ago. The only time I would recommend fishing for them is in the spring when they run up both rivers to spawn. At that time you can catch them on very small white jigs and rattle traps.

In my 2 seasons fishing the lake, I've caught 1 white bass accidentally on a downline herring.

well then i guess i,m giong to stick with bass, striper,, and crappie. thanks for the info so i dont waste any time looking for them, well anytime on the lake is not realy a waste but i wont go out and target them
