Saturday was a nice day for fishermen;cooler. The fish were slow bitting. No big schools found. Some in mouth of Flat and others in bay at Van's Tavern launch. Heard of a few on the east side bays/creek mouths. East/Northeast wind was 12-18 mph (Problem) with water temp at 85 early. Funny Fish were shallow and deep. Some at 30-35' and others 50+. Caught some on down lines, power reeling, and some on lead core 2oz. with 7-7 1/2 colors out. Caught one at 21 lbs. a very nice fish. Only fish Sat. on Labor Day because of the boat traffic. Congrats on the 21 pounder. I hear the wind was pretty rough this weekend. Glad I did not go. Fished yesterday. Slow in the morning but things picked up around 1:00. Hopefully this week they will get fired back up again.
