Crappie really turned it on today. Did not get to fish long but for the time we were out they bit very well. Caught all of them on the 1/32 oz pink head white body popeye. All under deep water docks about 15 ft down. Time to make some hushpuppies.

I don't think I want to eat that with my crappie.

We need to vote on what that is, too, I think. My wife and daughter swear it's a chihuahua, but, it looks more like a squirrel to me. Whatever it is, she does love hush-puppies.

At 4.5 pounds, I've wondered if she might make good bait shocked

(didn't mean to steal the Crappie thread)

Yes, I look for bait in an area, most of the time if there is bait I can troll at 1mph but if there is none I have to slow down and drag the jigs just off the bottom to get the fish this time of year. I start in 25 foot of water and work deeper or shallower to find the fish.

It's an alien, and they definitely don't like hushpuppies.

Micro, So you must have one of those type rigs off the front of the boat with 5 or 6 long rods like Ive seen em use on Oconee.?

I fish with 6 out the back and 6 out the sides up from, short rods in the back going up to 14 foot rods in the very front.
