Fishing was very good this weekend. The fish are deep 100-120' bottom and suspended at 75+ feet. Most are located in the main lake south of Brown's Bridge. Although I talked to a couple of boats that fished fished north all the way to River Forks and caught fish in the main channel from the bridge up. Mine were all found in two mile cut, six mile crk. and the main lake channel from Flat Creek mouth south to dam. Fished Saturday in Shoal Creek mouth and caught fish. ALL were deep 100+ bottom. Fished bait down 45-65 feet. Blue back survival was about 20-25 minutes best if stripers were not hungry. If slow "Tease them" to bite by using the up/down technique of power reeling. Got several over 15lbs. Heard of some 20+ ones caught. They do not survive if out of water very long so be quick to release. The surface water temp was 89+ last weekend. This stresses the fish. Good Fishing Capt. Dave Bush aboard the "Lady Rose".

I agree, Sunday fished leadcore from 2mile to 6mile back and forth, picked up about 2 dozen stripers, all ranging in from 3-8lbs. Caught 4 between 10-15lbs. A lot of the fish caught are really small. Everything was released. If you haven't gone fishing, its the time to go.

Thanks for the reports. Good to hear the leadcore getting better it usually does with the heat.

Fished again this morning from about 6am-11am with strictly leadcore. Picked up about 1 1/2 dozen stripes. The white trailer seem to be the color of choice this morning, had 2 on the chartruese and the rest was the white. Fish are holding in about 90-115ft. of water. What I have been able to do is mark fish on the graph and then 2-3 minutes later I would hookup w/ a fish.
Every fish that was caught, was marked. Kind of hard to beleive but thats what I notice. Also notice some fishing coming out of the timber to take the bait also. All I can say is lead core is on fire.
