I got out for a couple of hours this morning to try some new jigs I tied up/ water was 44. I fished in 24 feet of water but couldnt get hold of the good ones I had been catching there. But I did get some and was able to try out the new stuff.

This was the hot color but I fished it in a smaller version today

Well dang... Froze mt butt off today and didn't get a single bite. You still sticking to the early mornings? Maybe you guys can teach me something in this crappie club. I tried the dock around gville marina and all over the Sardis area.

yes I was out at first light but the key was a light jig, only caught 2 on the 1/16oz but the hit the slow falling 1/24 and 1/32 the best.Just pitch it to the back of the dock and let it fall back to you. Most the fish off marina docks are really deep. (30 feet ) But the same small jigs or working there to. It just takes a long time to get a jig down to them. When fishing that deep make sure your using 4 pound braid, you will feel a lot more bites that way
