I dont know what it is but it seems like I always pick the worst weather days to fish. I dont want to its just how it works out. I met Jan and thompson creek ramp this morning and we planned on hitting some bamboo to see how they were doing. We stopped at a dock first and started catching fish right away. Most bites came at about 6 feet deep in 23 feet of water. For the first hour it was almost every cast. We were using Luv Nubs in Dirty snow color. We tried other colors but the dirty snow was the ticket. When the bite finally slowed we hit some bamboo but only caught a nice spot. We went back to the dock and caught a few more crappie before they shut down on us. We headed off to some brush piles and bamboo, first cast I got a nice crappie but we only got a couple more from that spot. Made a move to a few more spots and only go a few more crappie. It seemed they just shut down for the day on us so we headed for the ramp to call it a good day. We kept 39 good crappie.
Oh at one spot we were fishing we came up on to 5 BIG turkeys. They could have cared less we were even there. lol
