Got out with my 85 yr old Dad yesterday for a couple of hours, Fished mid creek on the south side. Had 2 or 3 decent hits on small downlined trout and had a huge hookup on a 12 inch trout on a planer board. Fish broke off after a short time though.

Doesn't matter though, had a great time with the old man who doesn't get out too often because of his health. He was mezmerized by the structure scan. Asked about a thousand questions which I was happy to answer. Best day I've had out in a while in spite of the skunk.

Thats great Jim. I know how it is with the watching of the chart. My Dad is normally glued to the "TV" on the boat. For every fish that is marked there is a matching fingerprint on the screen to go with it. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Even at 85 Mike's thinking is not far from the truth. My Dad grew up dirt poor in the streets of Brooklyn during the depression. He served in WWII and North Africa and was there at the liberation of Auschwitz. One tough old bird, still sharp as a tack.
