After fishing Wednesday, Friday, Friday night and all day Saturday. my son asked to go fishing on Sunday. I gave him the choice of how he wanted to fish. So we ended up Bass fishing out of our 8' Paddle boat. I have to admit, it was cool. I would make some changes for the next time. (Seat cushions, rod holders etc) We were throwing Mcsticks, spro dawgs and super flukes. We landed 4 bass. We lost or should I dare say he lost a few, including a 4 Lb ish Spot on a Mcstick. He broke the line right at(under the boat). We had one take him for a ride under a dock. Had it hung up for a while. The 6 lb test lost the battle to the dock and the fish won. I now understand why the kayakers fish Stripers out of their rigs. These little Bass would spin us around in circles. All in all a lot of fun, good exercise and a nice morning with my son.

If you were to put me on a paddle boat, I'm not sure I'd make it to your neighbors dock without needing a beer, a 5 hour energy shot, and a break from paddling.....

Glad y'all got em.

The only way I'm fishing on a paddle boat with my boy is with a load a beer, and a clear understanding that I'm not doing the paddling. The beer is because I know I'm paddling back from where ever he takes me.

I took my boy and his friend (2 - 7 year olds) fishing 3 weeks ago. It was so hard not to yell at them both all day. I didn't want to be "that guy." But good gosh it was hard to keep control.

My boy is great on the boat with just me. The other kid was dropping lures and weights in the water when I wasn't looking.

My only solice was I remembered this scene from Dumb and Dumber and it made me laugh during the rough moments:

I felt like the gangster starting around 25 seconds into the clip.
