Got on the water this morning to do some pre-fishing for the big Oakwood tournament starting tonight at 7pm. I started out at Vann's Tavern ramp and it seems like I picked the right place to be. Fish were busting everywhere. I caught a few from the busting pod of fish - one being a nice 16 pounder.

Moved on down to Six Mile, graphed a few and dropped lines. It wasn't long and a large school of fish moved right under the boat - I double and tripled a few different times....it was awesome!

I ran off and left my camera at home, because I didn't think I would do well enough to take pictures. Left my cell phone in the truck too. Dern it.

By the way...good luck to everyone fishing the tournament this weekend.

Must have been those 10 3/4" med/large trout.lol

Was a Vanns night before last. As all the guides started comming in right before dark, I saw some stripers busting topwater near the main channel. I kept pointing in the direction the fish were in, but the guys in the boats either waved or kept on going. The action only lasted 20-30 seconds.

Remember seeing you. I didn't even see you until the last second.

Just wanted to make sure that everyone knows by this point that my "fishing report" was a joke.........I posted it up right before the club tournament to mess with some of the guys.

Sounds like I about hit the nail on the head though, huh? I figured the fish should actually be busting around and about some of them humps.

They were past the humps and closer to, if not over, the main channel. Last year about this time of the month, there were fish inside the reef markers in front of the park in water less than 10ft deep. Different year.

Well I stayed around BR and out to the channel but I hit on zero with trolling, downlines, leadcore, free lining, etc. I could even get a sqeeter to bite.
