Heading to Fla at about 4am to do my yearly inshore fishing. Hope to get on some big bull reds. We usually go at the end of June but waited until October for the reds. I will post a follow up when I get back. Wish me luck!!!!!

Is this a fishing trip or a drinking trip?

Bring home some redfish and grouper and we can get Lionel to put his special spice on the grill at OBT.

We got home today around 5pm and had a very productive fishing trip. The trout and mackerel where on fire. I only manage one little red but it was a first. We got on the water around 11:30a on Wed. and fished until dark with some good sized keepers. Thursday was a different story, we started inshore with great success and headed to deep water at around 11am. We hit some numbers about 12 miles off shore with little success. The weather started getting rough on us quick so we decided to head back in.

The water was too rough for a 22ft boat so we had to cruise in at low speeds. We decided to troll the pink bombers on the way back in. Allen hooked up with a large king that I had to chase down with the boat. After getting drug a round the boat we got it up to see that it was fowl hooked in the fin. A great catch and release. After that we got on some top water with bonita chasing bait. I threw out a sebile and on the second cast the fun was on. It was like I was hooked up with a lightning bolt.

A great trip with 3 full days of fishing and a cooler of fish brought back. We counted 19 different species caught with only 3 kinds worth keeping. I got a few pic's before my camera took a crap on me. When the guys email me theirs I will post more.

We ran up on a school of dolphins chasing bait so we got in a little closer and it turns out they just wanted to play and follow the boat.

Thanks guys! We had 22 keepers out of a total of 2 and half days of fishing. Mostly trout with 6 spanish mackerel and two flounder. We kept the bonita for cut bait and shark attractant. It's a trip we look forward to every year. I can honestly say we caught so many fish my hands and arms were hurting on during the ride home.
