Fished Saturday from 1:00 till dark. Freelined herring and trout with planers in Shoal Creek, nothing. Did the same next in Flowery Branch, caught 2 nice spots on herring. Went to Young Deer, freelined for a while, caught 1 spot. Then finished the day downlining in Young Deer, nothing. Didn't mark many fish in Shoal, but marked a lot in FB and YD, 20 ft. down to as deep as 60 ft. Never saw or heard a single fish break the surface all afternoon. But was happy just to catch a few spots, since I haven't been on the water in about 6 weeks. Water temp was 58.
