Does anyone know for sure if you have to attend the Captains meeting the night before? I was hoping to take a trip Friday evening.

Just to clarify for everyone. All the information that you need for the tournament, including the required number and phone for registering your catch will be distributed at the Friday meeting. If for some reason you cannot attend, let me know and i will try to find a work around; but you will be missing out on what i think is one of the most fun events of the tournament. There is a lot of technical information that we will be going over on Friday night, and you will be at a serious disadvantage if you do not attend.

Will the tournament kick off at 7:00am from the same location as last year (old Tiki Hut)?

Our program begins with a Captains' Party on Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. at the amphitheater on Lake Lanier Islands. (Use the Friendship Road - Hwy 347 Exit from Interstate 985). At this event, each captain will be able to mingle with some of the finest striper fishermen on Lake Lanier. Captain, it's rather important that you attend. First, our Tournament Director will review the rules and answer all of your questions. Second, we are planning a great "throw-down" with some fine food - be sure to bring an appetite. We will also be providing two cool fishing shirts to each boat (free). Another thing that you will not want to miss - one of the best striper guides on Lanier will provide all the information needed to make your fishing event a huge success - current fishing conditions and striper catching techniques will be fully disclosed to all Friday evening participants!

Our Saturday fishing event is the highlight of the Fun Fest. Fishing will take place between 7 and 2 p.m. Our simple and straightforward tournament rules will help facilitate a fun day.

After the tournament we will meet at the amphitheater between 4 and 6 p.m. to award tournament winnings and prizes. All children fourteen years or younger will receive a prize at this event. Did we mention that we were going to serve-up another fine meal at our final ceremony?

Some one should mention if any one had any questions or wanted to talk so some one in the club The regular monthly meeting will be held this Tuesday the 7th . It will be at the Golden Corral Buffet and Grill on Hwy 20 in Buford at 6:30 pm.
