Almost forgot about this...yesterday while taking a break from the heat we were swimming in a cove in the mouth of Bald Ridge when we saw a yellow single engine plane take off almost straight up and out of the trees - it flew off in the direction of the marina. After about 5 minutes, we were floating and enjoying a few adult beverages when we saw the plane about 1000 yards up the creek now flying in our direction. At about 500 yards out, he must have thought we needed some excitement as he put the three of us in his crosshairs - he lowered the nose, came in low and buzzed us at about 20 feet over our heads.

I'm glad that guy knew how to handle the stick - there was a moment that all three of us thought we might not get to finish our beverages. With apologies to the Corp of Engineers and the DNR, if anyone sees three piles of poop floating around in Bald Ridge Creek - you know where it came from!

I'm not sure about the legality of his flight path, but we all thought it was pretty exciting to say the least.
