Thanks for the advice Corey. I set up in Simpson park a few times this spring. Early in the morning, there would be stipers all over the cove, but they were a good 150-200 yards from the bank. Just thought if I could get out a liile further, I might have had a chance. Also, with the high water this year, a lot of the places I fished last year are unreachable. Out in front of Vanns Tavern is a perfect example. Last year, we fished out by those markers in front of the park. This year, you couldn't reach the markers with a good cast.
I had a fairly consistant opportunity to fish from a boat earlier this year, but the owner turned out to be a rude ass carpetbagger. Every time I bought up the post on this board, he'd yell at me. Said you guys don't know what your doing and if you did, you would really give away any secrets. He seemed to have a lot to say about people he didn't know. After suffering his abuse and not catching anything for several trips, I decided to stick to the bank.
