I have been talking to some of the boys about getting together for a night trip sometime in September. I have never striper fished at night though. Are strategies still basically the same at night (down rods off the main lake or mouths of creeks, etc) or is it completely different? I ran into a couple guys a few weeks ago that was telling me striper come into the marinas such as Bald Ridge at night and people catch them with downlines in the Marina. I have a boat at that marina and since they told me that, I don't think I have seen a single boat appear to be striper fishing.

I've seen some big stripers come out of Holiday and Port Royale right under boats in slips. They usually use lights either under water or on the boat shining down into the water. You can also catch some big herring on sabiki rigs under lights.

It's tricky with the dock cables under there though.

Look for a Hydroglow light. They bring a lot of bait to the area. If you find one , fish it!
