I have had my ups and downs. More ups than downs. Had some good bait and trolling action on thursday both day and afternoon. Caught some quality 12-15 lb on downlines in the Shoal cut thru. Added some nice 9-14 lbers trolling leadcore in the mouth of Baldridge. The afternoon was difficult to find schools, but easy to find numerous singles. Boated a few on downlines in the 9-14 lb range in Two Mile. Fished Flowery after that to find the leadcore bite working. I tagged along side of Bill Carson. He managed a nice catch 7 or 8 on the Pulse jig. He was nice enough to throw one into my boat. It is defintely working. Tipping it with a Zoom Super Fluke.
Saturday was a slow one for me. Bait fishing was like pulling teeth. Thank G for the Leadcore. As much as I complain about it, it certainly can save a bad day. 8 colors and a 1 oz jig has been the ticket. Tipping it with either a live herring or a 4" Shad paddle tail. We did have 2 great fish take us in the trees on bait, but we make the change to trolling to save the day..
I fished today with a rock solid downline bite. Finally. Ran out of bait in a couple hours. Nothing big. Most were 5-9 lbs. Marked out spaghetti in 3 different areas. 1 in a 60' bottom, 1 in a 80' bottom and beleive it or not a 30' bottom. Yes a 30' bottom.
Sorry for the lack of pics, My Wife has been using my camera for Ebay, and I just got my Crackberry fixed after dropping it the bait tank last week.
